Category:Books
Genre: Literature & Fiction
Author:Tatiana de Rosnay (2007)
Poignant story. Speaks of the capacity of human beings to overcome, even transcend, the cruelest and most painful of tragedies. But it also showed the face of evil, of how human beings can forget what it means to be human, of how people can be written off and exterminated. Yes, what the Jews experienced cannot be forgotten. What suffering they have experienced! Through the experience of Sarah (a fictional character), this book captures the suffering, but also the healing; the evil, but also the good that triumphs; the brokenness, but also the wholeness that comes in other forms, at another time.....

A touching story.... Well-written account of how a woman finds her own wholeness as she discovers and comes to terms with the brokenness of the Jewish girl. The painful past, when hidden, festers and destroys. When brought to the light, it leads to freedom, despite the pain....
